Direct Booking Setups - Heathen - 04-19-2024
Can you all help recommend a setup for direct booking? It's more for returning guests (I've been asked twice) and I don't really expect to advertise the site much and get strangers on the internet (i'd rather vet them on airbnb first).

Not sure how many properties you have, but check out bookinghook.com. It's free to setup if you have one listing.

As a guest, what exactly are you gaining from direct bookings? Airbnb already takes a minimal 3% cut for us hosts which is below what alot of direct booking platforms will charge. The only added value I can see is if you are getting more repeat customers back due to them paying less fees to airbnb.

If you find you are getting repeat guests and/or they referring friends to your place a direct booking site makes sense.
If you are getting referrals from your personal networks, a direct booking site is beneficial.

We started using Guesty this year for our 3 properties and have had no issues whatsoever. We pay $27 per month but there are other tiers available if you have more properties. The direct booking option for repeat guests (we leave business cards with a link for repeat guests) is worth it in-itself.
