Hosts getting thrown under the bus - ozni - 04-01-2025
Looks like another city may be throwing hosts under the bus. Sometimes you just can't win... how is it the hosts fault that there are "unscrupulous" people in the world who can't control themselves and resort to violence?
On one hand, Airbnb makes it entirely impossible to even screen people by blocking out pictures or last names, but then lays the blame on hosts/airbnb when things go south.

This is my worst nightmare. As a host with properties in a city that is known for attracting and putting up with rowdy behavior, I make it crystal clear in my listings that there are no events, gatherings, bachelor/bridal parties etc. etc. Another way I make my properties unattractive to these groups is by stating there is no street parking (even though there is)

I have friends who sold their properties at the end of last year. Just wasn't worth it anymore.. always new regulations and fees, always worrying about crazy guests like this.. insurance going up like crazy here in Florida as well.
