New toilet paper rolls? - nstull - 11-01-2025 Do you switch out toilet papers for every stay or do you let guests continue with whatever is left off from previous guests especially if there’s a generous amount left? I sometimes feel guests might get bothered by the fact that I’m expecting them to used what a prior guest used for their private business or that they might think I’m trying to be cheap. I do leave out a bunch of new ones on the shelf for them to access if they want to. Hotels do it nowadays and I was wondering if the typical guest would expect fresh toilet paper for every stay. If you are not a host, I’ll be curious to know hear what your expectations are. RE: New toilet paper rolls? - DELLAS - 11-02-2025 Our cleaner will leave the toilet paper rolls if it looks like it has 80%+ left. They fold the end into a neat little triangle. RE: New toilet paper rolls? - tom711 - 11-02-2025 It's part of the experience where it makes guests they are renting a better place with fresh toilet paper and paper towels. We have a higher end listing and we replace even if the previous guests used only 2-3 pieces. RE: New toilet paper rolls? - ChrisFromTheOC - 11-03-2025 As a guest I never examine too carefully whether or not a roll is brand new and as long as it has at least half I wouldn't even notice. That said, we do fold a nice little triangle at the end too to make it look nice. |
