Late Checkout requests - nstull - 11-18-2025
How do you all handle late checkout requests and how much do you charge for it? Basically I have a four bedroom and given the size and the cleaning company I use if the checkout is delayed by more than one hour it will be impossible for me to get it cleaned in time for another potentially same-day check-in. So I am thinking that if I can change the cleaning teams schedule, I will offer a free late check out if requested until 12 PM. But any late check out after that should require a fee of some sort as I will not be able to rent out the place. And what should that fee be for a 4 bedroom that accommodates 10?

My checkout time is 12 am. If I don't have a same day check in, then I'm willing to accommodate late check out up to 2 hours. I don't promise a late check out until three days before they check in. Once I promise it, I block the day they check out, so I'm not bringing last minute stress on my cleaner. I don't charge for this. I'm not able to accommodate a late check out of more than 2 hours.
This same policy is what I use for early check ins. My regular check in time is 4 pm. Anything earlier than 2 pm I'm not able to accommodate.
