Guest brought dogs without notice - nosmoking - 01-31-2026 Hello everyone, I'm a new host and need some advice. I have a 3-bedroom home. My listing is pet-friendly, but it includes a separate cleaning fee. I implemented this to ensure the home is fur-free for all subsequent guests. I recently had a guest who did not disclose any animals but brought two dogs. They did not mention any pets nor pay the required pet fee. Should I message them about this? I am worried about getting a bad review, even though they left the house in great condition and were otherwise good guests. RE: Guest brought dogs without notice - ChrisFromTheOC - 01-31-2026 What exactly are you trying to get from them by reaching out? You said that they left it in "good" condition - is there noticeable pet dander and hair over your furnishings? Are you looking for more money due to higher cleaning costs? We have decided against reaching out since the home is in good condition and it will not require any extra cleaning, however we will likely leave a comment regarding the unannounced "guests" that were brought over so that future hosts can be aware.
