What’s the DUMBEST question you’ve been asked when hosting? - LMN109 - 03-05-2026 I’ll start. Guest: I have booked the 11th-18th, but I land on the 9th at 5:00pm, can I check in on the 10th around 7PM or is that too early of check-in. Me: blah blah, no but you can book the 10th if you want. Guest: It’s just an early check-in, I don’t need another day! RE: What’s the DUMBEST question you’ve been asked when hosting? - ChrisFromTheOC - 03-05-2026 I got a booking request for 4 nights, and in the request the customer put the following question in the inquiry... "I am trying to book your house for 3 weeks, however it looks like all the days that I need are not available. Can you please make them available, and can I get a discount as this house is way over my $160/ day budget.?" RE: What’s the DUMBEST question you’ve been asked when hosting? - ttama - 03-05-2026 I had a message after day 5 of a 7 day stay that my listing was deceptive because there was no in suite laundry and they wanted me to compensate them for taking a taxi to the laundromat. (I do in fact have a laundry machine) They also asked AirBnb for a 30% discount which was approved so now I also have airbnb asking questions. When you come in my front door, there is a closet that it’s right next to my laundry room. When they first came in, they pushed the sliding door open on the closet which blocked off the laundry room. Then they piled the closet full of crap so that they couldn’t slide the door. They never thought to look and see what might be behind it. I even have pictures of it in the listing. |
