Whats the best smartlock to use? - rempish201 - 03-07-2024

Considering the Yale Assure 2 or the Schlage Encode. Anyone using these suggest I stay away, or anyone else have better suggestions?

I just use a Defiant (home depot brand) Wi-Fi smartlock and it has worked well for me - half the price of the Yale/Schlage products, and I chose it because I have a bunch of other smart switches/plugs/lights all from the same home depot brand and I can control everything in the same app.

We use the Schlage Encode and have no complaints. We are by no means technologically savvy and are able to manage the door codes pretty well.

Also using the Schlage Encode and have no complaints. I swap out the batteries every 6 months.

We decided on the Yale Assure 2. They roll out software updates which seemed to have fixed some early connectivity issues and is very easy to program in new codes. Only complaint is the battery only lasts 3-4 months and I end up just changing it every 2 months out of fear of someone not being able to get in.

I personally do not like how the Schlage Encodes look - we use a Eufy Smartlock.

We use Yale Assure with the separate WiFi bridge which helps converse the battery since the WiFi is coming from a separate device plugged into the wall.

We manage about 20 properties and the Schlage Encode and Kwikset Halo are our favorite/most reliable. We are in a desert climate where it can reach 110-120 degrees and they have held up well.
