You never want to put all your eggs in one basket.. if for some reason Airbnb suspends your listing due to some false complaint, it can take weeks for them to reactivate it (or you may possibly lose it forever). Also, the clientele between VRBO and Airbnb can differ, where VRBO has a more family oriented /older clientele so you will be expanding your reach.

We've been listed on both for the past 8 months, and we haven't gotten any bookings from VRBO yet. Just a couple of inquiries. I think my market skews to Airbnb, or perhaps I need to make our VRBO listing more attractive to the older/family crowd.

How are you managing the calendars between the two? Do you just have very few bookings / no instantbook and manage it manually?

There is an option on both VRBO and Airbnb to sync calendars together. There are also third party softwares I have heard of but I do not use them.

I have always avoided using both since I did not know you can sync calendars, thanks for the info!
