So today I’ve gotten my third user asking some initial mundane questions (in Chinese but auto translated) asking some silly things before moving on to the “can you share a video of the place”.
From prior posts from other airbnb hosts here I think we generally recognize this is a likely “remote re-listing” scam where someone uses photos and videos of our places and lists them on some other site, usually to scam someone else. But when I go to the app and want to suggest the interaction is suspicious, the only three reasons I can pick are:
1) want to communicate off platform
2) want payment off platform
3) advertised or solicited something.
From experience we know the “better scammers” aren’t so clumsy, but why aren’t there any options for “other, known scam”?
