While trying to find ways to increase booking, I saw people posting about furnishedfinder.com but haven’t gotten any real info on if it’s legit. I made an account but I thought it was weird that I had to pay to use the platform and they even called me to ask if I wanted to continue to sign up which I thought was wierd.

It’s legit. You have a very different set of guests and you should vet them well before you get them to sign a contract as it is longer term. Typically if you are getting nurses they have been thoroughly background checked by their hospitals otherwise they couldn’t have a license but you can ask for their job assignment paperwork to make sure they have a job and the license is up to date. They have a background check program on there that the guests can pay for as well. FF is basically just a platform you list on. They’re totally hands off on what you decide to do or what guests you agree to. I have however heard that the traveling nurse clientele can actually be quite picky/cheap/terrible to deal with.

We are close to a hospital and used it for a few months. It was not a pleasant experience. The nurses always wanted to have coworkers move in to split the rent. Nurses either are provided housing or a per diem to rent on their own. If per diem, they will do anything to lower their housing costs, including doubling up in the unit.

Nurses seem to be entitled (same for airbnb hosts as guests lol). Never again for me.

With FF you are basically signing out leases, mainly to traveling nurses, and FF does not provide much in the form of customer service. You are basically becoming a landlord (mid term).
