This has been happening quite frequently since the weather got ******.. most of our stays are 2-5 days. We live 10 minutes from the city center of a large city . Our policy is check at 4 and check out 11. We do all of the cleaning myself so I don’t have a ton of wiggle room as far as time. I accommodate when I can, and don’t have a problem politely declining but I’m getting tired of writing the same message over and over. Is this a new trend where Airbnb guests are trying to “maximize value” by getting early check-ins??

We have it clearly stated in our listing that early-check in is available for a fee of $50. We also mention it in our check-in info which is sent out the night before. We haven't had to deal with anyone trying to check-in unreasonably early while trying to skirt around the fee. We're really not trying to make money off the fee either, just give ourselves a manageable amount of time to do the turnover and cleaning.

Can we even charge extra for early check-in anymore with the newer guidelines that went out this year?
