We have a 2 bedroom lakehouse and we cater mostly to small groups (think 2 couples) or families. 4.85 average rating...I would say that we only get reviews from around 60% of guests and the trend seems to be that newer guests to the Airbnb platform are less likely to leave a review. What % are you all seeing, and is there a pattern of newer guests leaving a "worse" review as they are unfamiliar with the rating system? Wondering if it is it even worth prodding newer guests to leave a review in that case?

35 stays here at our listing so far.. I would say we have 100% of our guests leaving reviews. We have a 3 day minimum and charge a bit more than other properties in the area so it probably helps get more seasoned guests that are looking for more than just a place to sleep.

We have a near 98% rate of guests leaving us a review. After the first 50 stays we really stopped worrying/thinking about the whole review thing.

I think I have about a 75% rate on my guests leaving reviews. Way more write in the guest book though. I suppose if they take the time to write a review in a guest book then maybe they think that’s good enough. I have mostly the older/family oriented guest demographic for my listing and I think the younger crowd is much more into leaving online feedback since they are so accustomed to yelp, and google reviews for everything they do.

I have had 85% of guests review my listing which I feel like it is pretty good. I don’t ask for reviews but I do keep one of those ratings magnets on the fridge which you can find on Amazon.

It depends on how much they have used Airbnb. For those with one review or less, it is like 50%. They are just not familiar with the system.
