I've gotten a few inquiries from guests before asking if we have a pack and play. How many of you hosts actually provide this, either free or as an add on? Personally I was never thrilled about having infants at the property for safety reasons and having a pack and play seems kind of like a nightmare to keep clean and an easy way for picky parents to nitpick on cleanliness.

We have one in the closet but we also explicitly say that the liability is on the guests to set it up. Our cleaners have checked it for cleanliness during the 3 times a guest had used it and there were no issues that required extra cleaning time.

Whatever you decide make sure if you have a pack and play don't mark your listing as having a "crib" as it's not actually a crib and guests can complain.

We don't market our listing as geared towards families with infants and on the few occasions that someone has asked if we have one and we told them they did not, they ended up booking anyways and brought their own. I believe these pack and play things are portable anyways and they can bring their own? Most of our guests come from a few hours away so they usually drive and bring their own stuff.

These are not worth it in my opinion, unless you are catering to a very specific family based clientele. Guests with babies or infants always seemed to be extra discerning (makes senses as a father) so once the pack and play we had got to an unacceptable condition we just got rid of it as an amentiy.

We also stopped providing this as an amenity after a year. Too much trouble from guests who couldn't figure out how to set it up properly, and to be honest half the time I couldn't figure out how to set these cheap things up either.

Babies spit up, and leak, and vomit, and drool. And you would need a mattress pad to ensure that your mattress was not stained as well. I also expect that parents would expect that baby’s sheets are just as clean as theirs. In some ways, they might care more.

I will venture to guess that if you start offering this amenity, then you have to do it “right”, and it's going to be more trouble than it's worth and open yourself up to potential bad reviews.
