Recently I've been getting messages from guests who ask if my place is available. After replying yes they never book. Feels like facebook marketplace Angry

This doesn't bother me as much as those that send over a long list of questions, only for me to spend time crafting a response and never hearing back.

If they're simply asking if it's available its likely a scammer who got their account flagged and removed which is why you never hear back. Most airbnb users know that if something is available it shows on the calendar.

Here's a new one... a few weeks ago, I got a call from on my Iphone that actually said "Airbnb" and they asked me for the 2 factor code.

I said, "I'm not an idiot. I'm not giving you any code. I know better than that."

Her: "Ok ma'am, calm down. I'll transfer you to my supervisor."

I hung up and never heard from them again.

Then I went online and checked my account just in case I was wrong and there actually was an issue. Nothing on there.
