When I submitted the charge, I reached out to support first and explained what happened. I told them I had a video of all of the extra guests. They had me send them that video, then contact the guest to request the money first. Guests ended up paying and I didn’t have to get Airbnb involved further.
This is helpful advice, thank you for making me feel better! My initial concern was that these extra guests would end up staying long term and causing trouble but I'm not even sure where they would all stay since its a small ADU. I don't have extra guest fees listed so I'll just be happy to have not have any further problems.
