Has anyone heard any word on when Clark County might re-open up registration for short term rentals? It's been almost a year since the last enrollement and the only update I've seen from them is that they sent out a bunch of rejects a few days ago.

My RE agent in Vegas who is pretty connected with the on-goings of the city hasn't heard too much info. It seems like the city is still trying to figure out exactly how they are going to implement this thing and making things up as they go. ..

How incompetent is our BOC? It's literally almost an entire year and the Clark County STR website has not been updated since 4/15/2024 with any new rules or guidelines. It's taken them almost two years and only a handful of license have been issued.. really?

Looks like Clark County is acknowledging the days in processing the licenses. Only 174 processed since 2024 with 500+ more to go? Even they say that at the rate of 6 a week it would take over a year to finish the existing backlog.

The short term rental website for Clark County has not been updated Since April 2025th.. what a joke. Are they evening trying?

Meanwhile, our officials have made sure to expedite the approvals of the old Tropicana site!

My family and I always rent a house when we travel to Vegas. We can't imagine packing our family into a strip hotel and paying resort fees, parking and overpriced food..

Looks like airbnb won an injunction to stop the fines and harassment of STR operators! Will this force Clark County to start implementing an actual attainable licensing system instead of the farce that is in in place now?

Looks like the county voted unanimously to appeal. Imagine if they put this much time and effort into actually processing licenses and getting a proper process in place as they did trying to block this.
