Hi fellow hosts & property managerss, what are the biggest complaints you have about Airbnb / VRBO from a host perspective? What would you change about the service to help you make more money or run your listings how you want them?

Reduce the fee for guests and increase the customer service. It is very difficult for the reps to comprehend issues when verbally communicating with them and guests are annoyed by fees and take it out on the hosts.

Enshittification of Airbnb. They have kind of captured the market, so they do what they mistakenly think is in their best interest, and don't actually bother to hire people who can think critically about the situations, they simply follow scripts. On top of that we can expect that the fees for both customers and hosts alike will continue to rise.

Airbnb cares about the guests and not the hosts.

Set your price accordingly, don't try to charge for "extras" or you're going to end up with poor reviews. I actually like how airbnb this year did away with the extra "fees" through the platform.
