How do you all deal with damages which come from smells? I'm talking when guests smoke in the property and the smell gets all over the comforters, cushions and whatnot. I'm unable to submit any physical "proof" to aircover.
Like the above post mentioned, you will have to produce a bill from a cleaner if you are seeking some sort of reimbursement for additional cleaning, etc. If you are doing the cleaning yourself invest in an Ozone machine, and keep a product called Ozium handy. It can remove odors and Walmart sells it.
If you're using ozium make sure you don't overdo it because it leave's its own scent and many people don't like any scents at all. That goes for air fresheners as well.
Do you have a smoking fine listed on your listing? That can help dissuade smoking. Keep in mind, even if you do collecting on fees can sometimes be it's own ordeal but at least it might scare some people from lighting up.
