Reject a Guest - anothernguyen - 04-19-2025 Hi Hosts, I have a request from someone who wants to stay for a week but I do not feel comfortable because they do not have any reviews on their profile. Is it against the airbnb policy for me to decline and say I would not like to rent because they have zero reviews? What is the best way to reject such a booking? RE: Reject a Guest - ChrisFromTheOC - 04-20-2025 I decline guests I am not comfortable with all the time. A simple "sorry, I am unable to host" is all you need. RE: Reject a Guest - CEOofFUN - 04-20-2025 “I don’t think we’re a good fit for your needs” or “I don’t think we’re a good fit for you at this time”. It's better to reply with a response rather to ignore or it will affect your response rate. RE: Reject a Guest - travelmania - 04-22-2025 When I’ve had to reject guests due to lack of information (or bad reviews), I declined and said thank you for your interest but at this time we are only accepting guests who have 5 star reviews. They never responded or tried to be argumentative. RE: Reject a Guest - anothernguyen - 04-22-2025 Thank you all, I declined their request to book with a simply sorry, I am currently unable to host at this time reply There was no further issues from the guest and it seems they booked somewhere else now. In the future I will use this simple messaging to communicate to guests I do not want to host. |
