How to handle repeat discount requests?

If you feel your decline rate is high block a date in the middle of the period of time the guest is trying to book. They will get a message that the booking is no longer possible and will look elsewhere. Open it back up in a day or so.

Also, raise your rates if possible - I know we've all been taught in economics (hopefully) that lower prices equals more business equals more money but in our unique situation the experiences gleamed from thousands of hosts indicate that higher rates attract better guests who are less likely to be discount seekers and cause trouble. You never want to be the lowest place in available in your area.
